Later is Malaysia’s 48th National Day. Happy birthday, Malaysia! Instead of waving the Malaysia flag, yelling “Merdeka! Merdeka!” and speeding on the road, let me do something different here — virtually.

Malaysia national anthem is PIRATED song?
Malaysia local newspaper — TheStar daily — reported that Mohd Zain Sahadan, 49, Kluang suspect Malaysia national anthem (“Negaraku“) may comes from a Hawaiian melody called “Mamula Moon” by Felix Mendelssohn. Jeffrey from mrbadak.com spend some time to search for the melody. He found it and make it available for download.
Here is a portion of “Mamula Moon” song. Remember, it is not “Negaraku“.
Download: Mamula Moon (32 secs)
After listening to the “Mamula Moon” melody, I would say it is 98% similar to Malaysia national anthem. Does “Negaku” copied other’s melody? If that’s truth (hopefully, it is not), it could be the first ever pirated song in Malaysia? Another Malaysia Record huh?
Kluang Water Crisis
Though it is National Day, but Kluang citizens are having water crisis. We are having water cut for each odd day. It has been two months!
Merdeka Blogger Project
Merdeka Blogger Project is a local blogging project created by a group of local bloggers.
Merdeka Day shouldn’t only be a celebration with parades, it should be a celebration of the community showing its values that we have shared and allowed us to live closer in harmony.
Therefore, this project is about the Malaysian community sharing one day as one community celebrating the languages we have to this day.

Jalur Gemilang on pada MSN Messenger
My friend, too, started a small Merdeka project on his MSN Messenger.

He has his friends in MSN Messenger change their avatar to Malaysia flag (Jalur Gemilang). It looks nice, I must say. :)
Thought:
Well, instead of celebrating National Day in the night party, I think we should sit down and think back what happended to our country in the past year.
What mistakes we made? Have we learn the lessons? How can we improve? What have you done for the country? What will you do for the country, and How? …etc.
Happy Birthday, Malaysia! Happy Holiday!
Voila Independence for Malaysia. Don’t know what to say about it but just wish everybody enjoy and happy for it.
