Facebook Page Admin Could Make A Fortune Online

I never knew Facebook Page Admin could charge so much for maintaining a Facebook Page!

Creating a Facebook Page is easy and free of charge on Facebook.com. Updating Facebook Page with new status messages, photos, and videos are just a matter of few clicks. With some online marketing knowledge, you could charge few thousands dollars for managing a facebook page!

Quote from TheMalaysianInsider:

Kal Joffres, director at social media consultancy Tandemic, said RM5,000 per month was “completely average” to maintain and manage content for one page on the popular social network site.

Also, a digital brand consultant who declined to be named said “for a Facebook page “seeded” or updated twice a day plus updates on micro-blogging site Twitter, the price would range from RM5,500 to RM8,000 per month depending on the nature of the content.

For your information, Facebook updates can be easily linked to Twitter after you setup on this page. It’s free!

My two cents

It reminds me about the website hosting quotation in the old time, where the company charge a high monthly fee for changing image and text on your web pages. It’s easy money! I would not be surprised to see a so-called “facebook page admin” popping up like mushroom after rain.

To be fair, there are great social media consultants who can market your company’s brand up to a new level. Social marketing is more than just updating Facebook and Twitter!

What says you?

Do you think charging RM5000 (~USD 1600) per month for updating a Facebook Page is reasonable? How much would you pay for someone to maintain your facebook page?
