Death of Streamyx

Great! my Streamyx is death! Started from yesterday night, the modem DSL LED is blinking non-stop till today till now!

(again, again and again, I am on dialup connection now…)

Well, it is good also… at least I do not need to stare on the LED, do not need to do various testing to find out what is the problem, do not need to pray, etc… In a nutshell, I can take a break now.

Anyway, my friend(Guo Liang) has filed a report on tmnet customer support in the afternoon. He call the line from 2pm and only get answered by the staff there at 4pm++. The technician said the earliest they can come to check it will be tomorrow. Let’s see how many days they take to fix my problem.

Somehow, I am curious about how many support staff stand by in the customer support department to serve millions of tmnet users?

Hopefully the line will be stable after they checked( and fixed) it. However, the staff answerd my friend that they will not replace the line if it is line’s problem.

The streamyx contract is one year, once registered you must pay for at least one year before you can cancel it. So, my question is: “Can I cancel my streamyx account due to the line problem(since the staff claimed that they will not fix the line problem)?”

P/S: thanks to all the commenters of my previous posts for suggestions and tips.

Well, normally the technician will try to sort out the problem by replacing the modem
(free) and if the problem still continues, they’ll go to your nearest exchange and try to
fix the problem there. Just in case if you still can’t use your streamyx, under the agreement,
they haven’t provided you with any service at all. So, just to let you know, if they can’t fix it,
you have the rights to terminate your contract because TMNet has already breached it.

having less one customer doesn’t even bother them at all. they are the widest coverage ISP for DSL. apparently, line replacement is from another division, and they don’t always work hand in hand. i remembered the time they installed mine, it took them 3 days to sort out the problems regarding cabling. have fun with TM NET!

It still took about a weeks worth of calling TMnet to get them to fix the connection to my house. The sad thing is, they DID come the day after I called them, it being fine for about a day went back to crap the next and I had to call them again. I think I wasn’t the only one in my neighbourhood having the problem. That’s probably why a week after that they finally replaced the ports for my neighbourhood and we never had a problem since. Try getting more people in the same area to call. An abundance of unsatisfied customers does seem to get them on their toes.

I really hate the programmed voice telling me that my call is important to them then turn around, put me on hold and then tell me that my call wait time is approximately 10 mins with 7 calls ahead of me !!
